Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift

**You must meet the requirements listed below will be considered for this position!**
Rate of pay per union contract: $23.81/hr with ¢.40 shift differential
Normal working hours: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. (third shift work hours).
The work week starts on Sunday and ends on Friday morning.
Training will occur during the first shift, hours 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM prior to going to third shift hours.

DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A qualified candidate will have the following qualifications and characteristics:
- Industrial Maintenance experience preferred
- HVAC/electrical experience will be a plus
- Experience rebuilding pumps and gas compressors will be a plus
- Able to operate boom lift and scissor lift
- Must always work safely and follow the company’s Safety/Quality procedures
- Must demonstrate good organizational skills
- Must demonstrate good communication skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be available to work overtime during weekdays and weekends
- Must have reliable attendance
- Must understand that if maintenance duties are not available/necessary on any given third shift, he/she must be asked to perform other duties for what he/she has been trained on that shift
The operator’s primary functions will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform and complete preventive maintenance, corrective, and general work orders of several types of equipment in the flammable area (wrapping machines, air compressors, vacuum pumps, gas compressors, pumps, pressure switches, interlocks, etc.)
- Rebuild Gas Compressor (different types and sizes)
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems with various pieces of equipment in the flammable area

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail extremely important
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate, or its equivalent
- Basic electrical and/or mechanical experience
